Welcome to The Stewart House Bed & Breakfast, a charming and recently restored “Regency” cottage built in 1840. This is a non-smoking home. We are located in the historic town of Niagara on the Lake, nestled in Niagara region's beautiful and lush wine country. A stone’s throw from acres of vineyards and fruit orchards.
The Stewart House Bed & Breakfast is known by locals as the Cappon-Cash House, named after the property's previous owners. This historic house has been relocated from the quaint shopping area of Niagara-on-the-Lake to the edge of Old Town.
Your hostess offers years of customer service and travel experience. Jean's childhood years were spent in Scotland where her parents owned and operated a small, hands-on hotel. She draws on those memories to add the extra special touches to her breakfasts,baking and operating her Bed and Breakfast.
The area is steeped in the history of our past established in 1812. Upper Canada's first legislative building is located in the town of Niagara -on -the Lake.You will depart richer for the experience of visiting this historic area.
The Stewart House offers superb en-suite accommodations in a perfect location for those who want to make the most of the stunningly beautiful Niagara Wine Region,explore the beautiful riverfront area and surrounding parklands along the Niagara Parkway. World-famous Niagara Falls is a fifteen minute drive, past historic Fort George, the village of Queenston and Queenston Heights.
Delicious gourmet breakfasts,freshly baked goods and local, seasonal fruits are served daily together with juice, coffee and selection of teas. Decaffeinated offered.
With many golf courses, historic sites, wineries, abundant wildlife, beautiful walks, bike rides and plenty of places to eat and drink, Niagara-on-the-Lake provides more than enough to do. The music scene in the Niagara Region is renowned for producing some of the most accomplished entertainers in the world and the local pubs and restaurants feature the best of our local musicians. THE SHAW FESTIVAL THEATRE has three venues in which to catch a play by George Bernard Shaw or his contemporaries. Wine festivals,a strawberry fair and peach festival,arts festival are in abundance throughout the summer months.

A Hearty Scottish breakfast menu taylored to you. Food preferences or dietary requests adhered to.
Juices,selection of teas, freshly brewed Coffee (decaffinated on request.) served on veranda at 07.30am. Newspaper on weekend.
A selection of scrumptious locally baked goodies, muffins, rhubarb/ginger scones, cranberry or banana bread daily. Organic OATMEAL with blueberries,(Porridge)and heather maple syrup. Local Fresh fruits of the season served with home made granola and creamy vanilla yoghurt - mmmmm!!! Greek yoghurt available daily.
Gourmet ENTREES include a choice of: Frittata with gruyere cheese and asparagus, various selection of quiche. Lemon Souffle French Toast with hint of grand marnier.
Poached pears or fruit of the season with ginger/cranberry sauce,
Fluffy Blueberry Crepes or Pancakes drizzled with heather Maple syrup. Fluffy baked herbed omelette with Swiss cheese and vegetables. Eggs Benedict,English breakfast on request.(Includes Peameal Bacon) To name but a few...........
Local homemade preserves from local farms.
